THE FIRST REAL ESTATE RECEPTION: AMSTERDAM’S PROPERTY WORLD MEETS ABOVE THE CITY
Wednesday 17 June, the first Real Estate Reception brought Amsterdam’s
property world together on the 21st floor, and it will not be the last time.
A GUEST LIST THAT FILLED ITSELF
When Ventuno announced its first Real Estate Reception, the response said
everything about how much Amsterdam’s property world wanted a place to meet.
More than 350 professionals applied for an evening that could only host a
fraction of them.
The room that came together was worth the wait: developers, investors,
advisors and brokers from across the city, from names like Colliers, ABN
AMRO, Prowinko, Coolinvestments, Dils, KroesePaternotte and IBS Capital
Allies to founders just starting out in the industry. Experienced or new,
established or ambitious: everyone stood at the same windows, twenty-one
floors above the city they all work on.
ONE INDUSTRY, ONE ROOF
The reception is part of a bigger idea. Ventuno is building a community
around the 21st floor: a fixed place where an industry comes together under
one roof, with a fresh feel that the sector does not find anywhere else in
the city.
“We are not just a restaurant,” Ramez Ramzy, founder of Ramzy Group, told
the room. “We want Ventuno to be the place where Amsterdam’s industries
meet, connect and celebrate. Tonight is the start of that.”
AN EVENING THAT DID NOT WANT TO END
Between five and seven, drinks and bites went around while live music set
the tone. Conversations started at the windows and ended at the tables:
introductions turned into plans, and plans into follow-ups. By the time the
reception officially ended, a quarter of the room simply stayed for dinner
in the restaurant.
THE FOUNDING EDITIONS
The first edition was meant to be a test. It became a tradition. This
September, the reception returns and grows into a series, and the first
editions carry a name: the Founding Editions.
The Real Estate Reception returns on Tuesday 8 September, for developers,
investors, real estate companies, architects and industry professionals.
The Law Firm Reception debuts on Wednesday 9 September, for lawyers,
partners, legal counsels and notaries. The Corporate Reception follows on
Wednesday 16 September, for founders, CEOs, directors and decision-makers.
Every edition follows the same recipe: an intimate reception above the
city, drinks and bites included, and the option to stay for dinner. Access
to the Founding Editions is complimentary. The guest list is not endless,
and as June proved, it fills fast.
