We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Food Runner to join our high-end Italian restaurant, VENTUNO, on the 21st floor of the Ruby-Emma Hotel in Amsterdam. As a Food Runner, you will be critical in ensuring our guests have a seamless dining experience. If you have a true passion for customer service, VENTUNO is your golden opportunity to shine.
Responsibilities
- prepare and arrange service areas, such as the kitchen pass, with necessary supplies;
- transport food orders from the kitchen to the dining room, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery;
- communicate with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate food preparation and delivery;
- maintain a clean and organized service area, clearing tables as needed;
- respond to customer inquiries and special requests, providing recommendations and suggestions;
- follow established health and safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience as a Food Runner or similar role in a high-end restaurant;
- ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment;
- excellent organizational and communication skills;
- ability to lift and move heavy trays and equipment;
- ability to stand for long periods and navigate a busy dining room.
